Lt Col Collin A. David


Lt Col Collin Andrew David, the director of administration for Florida Wing, has been a CAP member since 2005.  He has held the positions of administration officer, personnel officer, professional development officer,  testing officer, leadership officer, logistics officer, emergency services officer, public affairs officer, and operations officer.  He has also served at the Southeast Region Winter Encampment as a military training officer and tactical officer, and is a credentialed Character Development Instructor.
He was born in Maryland in 1983, and graduated from Belleview High School in 2001.  He is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served as a rifleman and assault amphibian crewman.  Lt Col David earned his Associate of Arts degree in 2005 from the University of Florida, and his Bachelor of Arts degree, with a concentration in philosophy, in 2015 from Thomas Edison State University. He is also a graduate of the Level 1 Senior Training Course, the Officer Basic Course, Squadron Leadership School, the Corporate Learning Course, Squadron Officer’s School, Air Command and Staff College, and the Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents Course.  
Lt Col David’s awards and decorations include the Commander's Commendation with bronze star, Civil Air Patrol Achievement Award, National Commander's Unit Citation Award with bronze clasp, Unit Citation Award with bronze clasp, Gill Robb Wilson Award with silver star, Paul E. Garber Award with bronze star, Grover Loening Aerospace Award, Leadership Award with three silver stars, Membership Award, General Chuck Yeager Award, Red Service Ribbon with two bronze clasps, Search and Rescue "Find” Ribbon,  Search and Rescue Ribbon, Community Service Ribbon with silver clasp, Encampment Ribbon, and the Senior Recruiting Ribbon. He is also vested with observer's wings, as well as the master ground team member's badge.  His specialty track rating badges include administration, personnel, professional development, logistics, cadet programs, and emergency services.
In his private profession, Lt Col David is a stay-at-home father. He is married to Dr. Sabrina David, and has two sons.
