Lieutenant Colonel Arthur Giles was most recently assigned to Florida Wing as the Deputy Chief of Operations.

Lt Col Giles is actively involved in promoting the objectives and purposes of the Civil Air Patrol, establishment of Plans and Programs, and assists the Wing Commander in achieving the goals, and objectives, established by the Corporation. Lt Col Giles is a graduate of the Civil Air Patrol Senior Officer Course, Squadron Leadership School, Corporate Learning Course, Unit Commander Course, Regional Staff College and National Staff College. He has served in operational and staff assignment as Squadron Aerospace Education Officer, Assistant Public Affairs Officer, Squadron Operations Officer, Squadron Commander, Group Commander, Wing Inspector General and Wing Vice Commander.

Lt Col Giles holds a Private Pilot License with an Airplane Single Engine Land rating and is working towards his Instrument rating with 120 hrs as Pilot in Command. He is a CAP transport pilot, Mission Scanner, Air Branch Director and is also a Paramedic. He holds a Master rating in Finance and a Senior rating in Inspector General, and has achieved Level V and the Gill Robb Wilson Award #593 in the Senior Member Professional Development program.
