DESCRIPTION

Training Leaders of Cadets is the premiere venue for Cadet Programs Officers to learn how to become better mentors of cadets and more effective managers of cadet squadrons. The TLC course equips adult leaders with youth mentoring skills, policy knowledge, and practical tools for implementing the CAP Cadet Program. The TLC Basic course will be offered Saturday and the TLC Intermediate course will be offered Sunday.
*** The TLC Basic course is full. Registration still ongoing for the Intermediate course.

ELIGIBILITY

Cadets 

  • Not applicable

Senior Members

  • Senior members who have completed Level I

PREREQUISITES

  • Completion of the TLC online portion
    • TLC Great Start video and quiz
    • TLC Cadet Advancement video and quiz
    • The TLC online portion can be found in the Learning Management System module of eServices
  • TLC Intermediate requires completion of TLC Basic

FEES

$10.00 per course (Basic and/or Intermediate), payable in-person via cash. Includes water and coffee

REGISTRATION

  • Complete the online TLC online course (approximately 45 minutes)
  • Fill in and submit (once) the online registration form to the right
  • Deadline for registration is 14 Sep 2019
  • Limited slots are available. Priority will be given to Group 3 members

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation to and from such activity is not the responsibility of CAP.  Privately owned vehicles travel to or from such activity is performed strictly at the member’s own risk (reference CAPR 77-1, para 6c and CAPR 52-16, para 8-10) and is not under CAP direction and control. Transportation during the activity will NOT be provided.

MEALS 

Lunch will not be provided. There are a couple of restaurants in the area, however it is strongly recommended that you bring your lunch/drinks/snacks.

UNIFORM

Short Sleeve Blues uniform or White Aviator Shirt uniform, no ties or ribbons. NO POLOS. All members MUST wear the appropriate uniform and follow ALL uniform standards, to include height, weight, and grooming requirements. Please refer to CAPM 39-1 if you have any questions regarding correct wear of the uniform.
