Event Description

Aerospace Discovery Day is a free community event held on the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus to introduce young men and women to the world of aviation! CAP cadets and senior members will have fun volunteering for this aerospace education community service opportunity. This year we will again help students design, construct, and fly balsa gliders. CAP cadets will also be able to rotate through many of the STEM activities which include:

Check in at the Aerospace Pavilion at 0900.  The event will begin at 0900 EST and should be completed by 1600 hrs. Bring completed F60-80 and F161 forms.

Uniform of the Day (UOD)

UOD is ABUs/BDUs for cadets. Cadets who do not have a complete uniform may wear blue jeans (no holes) and a white polo shirt or CAP T-shirt. Senior member UOD is ABUs/BDUs or corporate working uniform.

Meals

Lunch and water will be provided.

Register by emailing me at pking@flwg.us. Please include name, unit number, phone number and email address. If registering several members from a unit please designate the name of the contact person. Registration deadline is 16 October. Space is limited so register early. Call, email or text me with any questions. It will be a fun and educational day for everyone!
