Who May Apply: ALL QUALIFIED APPLICANTS who are
current active Florida Wing Members of the Civil Air Patrol and/or those
eligible to become a Florida Wing Member of the Civil Air Patrol in the ranks
of promotable Major and above.
- Be currently
enrolled in the one of the following specialty tracks: Professional
Development Officer 204, Aerospace Education Officer 215, Cadet Programs
Officer 216.
- Must be
available to attend a various missions, briefings, seminars, and job
specific training courses varying in length and location.
- Must be willing
to support and manage a team of three directorates.
- Must be able to
meet the high integrity standards of this position.
- Must be willing
to provide training to subordinate directors and assistance to other
members.
Ideal Candidate’s Core
Competencies (Recommended Qualifications):
- Achieved Level
III of the Senior Member Professional Development Program with a SENIOR
rating in one of the specialty tracks listed.
- Experience with
project management helpful.
- Working
knowledge of eServices.
- Working
knowledge of the cadet programs, professional development program, drug
demand reduction program, and aerospace education program.
- Effective and
efficient oral and written communication skills.
- Thorough
knowledge of the applicable CAPRs, CAPP, and CAPM.
Duties:
Oversees
the Director of Cadet Programs, Director of Aerospace Education, and Director
of Professional Development. They shall:
:
- Ensure the all three programs
develop a yearly training plan.
- Coordinate functions with Wing
Command Team and lateral Directors.
- Oversee coordination with
subordinate group staff counterparts.
- Ensure training is being
conducted to NHQ standards.
- Provide guidance to directorate
and their subordinate staff elements.
The Director
of Programs should be familiar with CAPP 204, 215, and 216; CAP directives in
the 39, 52, and 60 series; DDR programs.
